(Always use safety glasses & gloves)
1 check fuel level.
2 check spark.
you can do this by removing the spark plug and laying it against any metal part of the engine with the lead wire ON IT. Pull the engine over 2-3 times.
No spark? Install new plug.
Spark? Good. reinstall the plug.
3 LOOSEN the screw at the bottom of the carburetor just enough to drain the fuel from the carburetor. (into an approved container) This will ensure fresh fuel is getting to the engine.
4. If it still will not start, then there is major damage & the generator will need to go to an authorized service center. Most Mfg's have a list. If you are in the Nashville, Tennessee or Bowling Green, Kentucky area Stop by and we will look at it on the spot.

Unemployed and looking like a million bucks!
Sometime back, a Customer of ours (we’ll call her “B”) lost her job due to corporate-cut backs, You know the story it’s the same from coast to coast. This left her with a lot of FREE time but ZERO fundage!
When B. stoped by our showroom for some trimmer line, she asked for pointers on how to spruce up her front yard with out spending much money.
This required some thought on my part (sound painful? it was)!
Since “B.” is already a customer, I know her background. She has a good Simplicity mower (known for it’s beautiful lawn striping capability) she has hand tools and some older faded & over-grown plant beds in front of her house.
So the next day I e-mailed the ‘Dr. Lance Prescription’ for a Happy yard.
Step 1. Mow the lawn. (mow at 4″) leaving the grass longer will help make a
great effect when the sunlight hits the blades of grass. Mow several times a week….. Hey,She has the time!…. this will help train the grass to lay down for that awsome stripe effect.
Step 2. pull the weeds out of the beds, trim any existing plants. Rake the old faded mulch (just to fluff it up).
As part of my Prescription, I emailed a list of native colorful or flowering plants from our part of the country, (info easily found on the net). These plants grow in the ditches, in the woods and along farm fields and can be had for, you guessed it, FREE!!
Step 3. Take a quick trip to the local greenhouse for a couple bags of mulch. Only $2.00 a bag and only buy enough bags to cover and add some color back to your existing mulch.
Step 3. Dig the holes for your newly aquired native plants and throw some vegetable table scraps in the holes for FREE COMPOST. Add your plants, water frequently and watch them grow!
The total investment for this venture? ONLY $17.36! including gas for the mower! and not only that, those native plants will come back year after year.
A beautiful lawn for less than 2 Super Size with Fries!
